This is a recipe I got from church cookbook I got as a gift back in 1977. It is by far my favorite cookbook. This is just a wonderful festive Fall time dessert...the caramel sauce that you serve with the cake is outstanding.

- APPLE PUDDING CAKE

2 csugar

1/2 cbutter

2eggs, well beaten

4 cfinley diced raw apples

2 cflour

1 tspnutmeg

1 tspcinnamon

2 tspbaking soda

1/2 tspsalt
- CARAMEL SAUCE

1/2 cbrown sugar

1/2 csugar

1 Tbspflour

1/2 ccream or half & half
-
1/2 cbutter

1 tspvanilla
How To Make apple pudding cake with caramel sauce

1Apple Pudding Cake: cream butter and sugar; add eggs, apples. Add dry ingredients. Bake in a greased 9 x 13 inch pan at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve with caramel sauce below.

2Caramel Sauce: Mix sugars and flour together in a saucepan. Add cream, butter and vanilla. Bring to a low Boil, and boil 2 minutes. Serve warm over Apple pudding cake.

3The sauce keeps well..you can refrigerate, and warm sauce as needed.
