Ingredients For apple pecan cake

  • 1-1/2 c
    oil
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 3
    eggs
  • 3 c
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cloves
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1-1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 2-1/2 c
    finely chopped apples
  • 1 c
    chopped toasted pecans

How To Make apple pecan cake

    Grease and flour a 10 inch tube pan or 2 -9x5 inch loaf pans. In a large bowl, combine oil and sugar, beating well.

    Add eggs, beating well after each addition. Sift together dry ingredients, and add to sugar mixture, along with vanilla, combining well. Fold in apples and nuts.

    Bake for 1-1/2 hours at 325 degrees. Loaf pans for 1 hour to 1 hour 05 minutes. Cool cake in pan on wire rack 30 minutes. Turn cake out of pan and cool thoroughly.
