Ingredients For apple dapple cake

  • CREAM TOGETHER:
  • 1 1/2 c
    crisco oil
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 3 lg
    eggs
  • SIFT TOGETHER & GRADUALLY MIX INTO WET INGREDIENTS:
  • 3 c
    all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 3/4 tsp
    ginger
  • 1/4 tsp
    allspice
  • LASTLY, ADD THE FOLLOWING:
  • 3 c
    granny smith apples, peeled & diced
  • 1 1/2 c
    pecans, chopped fine
  • 1/2 tsp
    vanilla
  • CARAMEL SAUCE:
  • 1 1/2 stick
    butter
  • 1 1/2 c
    brown sugar
  • 2/3 c
    evaporated milk
  • 2 Tbsp
    dark corn syrup
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla
  • PAN COATER:
  • 1 stick
    butter, melted
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon, nutmeg & allspice

How To Make apple dapple cake

  • 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine ingredients for pan coater. Grease pan first with a little cooking spray, then sprinkle pan coater all over the entire pan to coat.

    Prepare cake per directions as instructed on recipe. Spoon into prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour. Cool for 20 minutes; invert onto serving plate.

    Combine butter, sugar, milk and corn syrup in small saucepan. Bring to a boil and boil for 15 minutes, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat and add vanilla. Spoon all over cake, coating the outside. YUM-MO!
