This was my Mom's recipie and I have many fond memories of picking apples in our backyard from our tree trying to dodge all the bees :o)so that she could make this delicious cake. This surely is one of the best Apple cakes you'll ever have. Enjoy!

Ingredients For apple dapple cake

3eggs
-
1 1/2 cvegatable oil

2 csugar
-
3 cflour
-
1 tspsalt
-
1 cchopped pecans
-
1 tspbaking soda
-
2 tspcinnamon
-
2 tspvanilla extract
-
1/4 cwhole milk
-
3 csliced, peeled red apples (4)
- GLAZE
-
1 stickunsalted butter
-
1 csugar
-
1/4 cwhole milk
How To Make apple dapple cake

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix first three ingredients in a large bowl by hand. Add remaining ingredients and mix together well by hand. Pour into a 9 x 13 in. greased and lightly floured baking pan. Bake for 50 - 60 minutes denpending on your oven.

2Remove cake from oven and using a small knife, poke holes on the top of the entire cake approx an inch apart.

3Glaze: Mix all ingredients together in a small sauce pan and bring to a boil. Cook for 2 1/2 minutes and immediately pour over warm or cooled cake.
