Ingredients For apple cake / caramel glaze

  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 c
    sugar
  • 4
    apples, peeled, chopped small
  • 3
    eggs
  • 1 c
    oil
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 2 c
    flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • GLAZE
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    brown sugar, packed
  • 2 Tbsp
    milk
  • chopped pecans, optional
  • you may want to double the glaze...i hadn't made this cake in some time...forgot i doubled it, but didn't this time

How To Make apple cake / caramel glaze

    Preheat oven to 350 degree F. Grease a Bundt or tube pan. Combine cinnamon and sugar and coat pan with mixture.

    Mix apples, eggs and oil with electric mixer.

    Add flour, sugar, baking soda, and cinnamon; mix well. ( batter will be thick ).

    Pour into pan and bake about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

    Allow cake to rest in pan for at least 10 minutes before inverting onto a cake plate.

    Combine butter, brown sugar and milk in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook for 1 minute. Spoon over cake. Allow to cool before serving.
