I have made this apple cake for my Family for years. It is always the favorite at all the family get togethers. Since My husband has been diagnost with diabetis I have cut the sugar in half using 1 cup Splenda and 1 cup sugar. It works.

Ingredients For apple cake

  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 3/4 c
    butter or margerine
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 1/4 c
    flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 3 c
    finely chopped or shredded apples
  • 1 c
    raisens ( optional)
  • APPLE CAKE

How To Make apple cake

  • 1
    cream sugar and butter; add eggs, dry ingredients, vanilla and apples. Mix well; pour in greased baking dish. Bake for 1 hour in preheated 350 degree oven. Makes a 9 X 13 cake pan
