A friend gave me a piece of this cake today, said everyone was raving about it ~ I tried it and found worth posting ! There is a glaze on it but I would like a cream cheese frosting on it I think. Let me know how you like it.

Ingredients For apple cake

  • 3 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1
    lemon zest, grated
  • 2
    eggs (beaten)
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 1/4 c
    oil
  • 1 c
    walnuts (choped)
  • 3
    finely chopped apples

How To Make apple cake

    Preheat oven 325DF and grease a 9x13" pan Mix all dry ingredients and then add the wet and fold in the finely chopped apples.

    Pour in pan and bake for 45 minutes.

    GLAZE: 1 cup powdered sugar juice of one lemon mix and spread on baked cake (may need a little water to right consistency )
