This recipe was taken from an old Amish cook book. This is a mix that replaces any store box mix in recipes.

Ingredients For amish cake mix

  • 8 c
    flour
  • 6 c
    sugar
  • 1/4 c
    baking powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1 1/2 c
    vegetable oil

How To Make amish cake mix

    Mix dry ingredients together and cut in oil until evenly distributed . Store in a airtight container in a cool dry place.

    Use within 10-12 weeks. Makes 16 cups of mix. This mix can be used in any recipe where a cake mix is needed like a dump cake, or others. Use 3 1/3 cups of mix for one cake.
