Ingredients For amaretto cake

1 cbutter

1/4 corange juice

2 Tbspsugar

1/2 cwalnuts, chopped

1 tsporange peel, grated

1 csour cream

1/2 tspsalt

1 tspbaking soda

1 tspbaking powder

2 cflour

3eggs, separated

1 1/2 csugar

1/3 camaretto
How To Make amaretto cake

1Cream butter and 1 1/2 cups sugar until light and fluffy; beat in egg yolks one at a time.

2Fold in beaten egg whites.

3Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt, and add to batter a little at a time, alternating with sour cream; stir until smooth.

4Mix in grated orange peel and walnuts and pour into buttered 9\" tube pan; bake 50 minutes at 350 degrees.

5Puncture around the top of the cake with a fork. Mix remaining sugar with orange juice and amaretto and spoon over cake as soon as it comes out of oven.

6Cool before removing from pan.
