These are the richest brownies you'll ever put into your mouth! The brownie base is dense, chewy and chocolaty. Alone it's great. But add the cheesecake layer with little bitty chocolate chips and you have the best of both worlds - brownies and cheesecake. Make sure to grab a glass of milk... you'll need it to wash this rich brownie down.

Ingredients For a+ brownies
- BROWNIE BASE

1 pkgsemi-sweet mini chocolate chips, divided (12 oz.)

1/2 csugar

1/4 cbutter
-
2eggs
-
1 tspvanilla

1/2 tspsalt

2/3 call-purpose flour
- TOPPING
-
1 pkgcream cheese, softened (8 oz.)

1/2 csugar

2 Tbspbutter, softened

2eggs

2 Tbspmilk

1 Tbspall-purpose flour

1/2 tspalmond extract
How To Make a+ brownies

1To make base: In large bowl, combine sugar and butter; beat until creamy. Add eggs, vanilla and salt; mix well.

2In a small microwave-proof bowl, melt 1 and 1/4 cups of the mini chocolate chips until smooth. Add melted chocolate and flour to the first mixture.

3Beat until combined.

4Pour into well greased 9 x 9-inch square pan. Set aside.

5To make topping: In a small bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar and butter; beat until creamy. Add eggs, milk, flour and almond extract; beat well.

6Stir in remaining 3/4 cup of mini chocolate chips.

7Pour over brownie base.

8Bake in a 350-degree oven for 40 to 45 minutes.

9Cool completely and cut into small pieces. These are very rich and taste best if chilled. Store in refrigerator. Makes 16 to 24 brownies.
