Got this recipe from Cindy at work. Have used it for years if I needed a quick but great cake. You be the judge.

Ingredients For 7 - up cake

  • 1 box
    yellow cake mix
  • 4
    eggs
  • 3/4 c
    canola oil
  • 12 oz
    7 - up
  • 1 box
    instant pineapple pudding mix
  • FROSTING
  • 1 can
    crushed pineapple
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 2
    egg yolks
  • 1/2 stick
    butter
  • 1 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1 box
    regular pineapple pudding mix

How To Make 7 - up cake

    Preheat oven to 350. In mixing bowl combine, yellow cake mix, eggs, and oil. Add 7 up and instant pudding mix. Bake in a greased and floured 9 x 13 cake pan 30 minutes.

    Frosting- In medium saucepan combine sugar, butter, crushed pineapple, egg yolks, flour and regular pineapple pudding mix . Cook on low heat (about 15 minutes) until thickened. Poor over slightly warm cake.
