This recipe belonged to my husbands Mother it's just a great white cake to serve with strawberries and ice cream. I hope you enjoy it as much as we do...

Ingredients For 1940's white cake

1/2 cbutter, softened

1 1/2 csugar

1 cmilk (i use almond milk)

1 tspvanilla extract

1 tspalmond extract, optional, i use this

3 lgeggs
-
2 tspbaking powder

2 1/2 call purpose flour
How To Make 1940's white cake

1Grease well a bundt pan, or 9x13 pan. set aside. Cream the sugar, butter and eggs until light. add in the extracts, milk and mix well. I add the flour and baking powder lastly and mix very well with a mixer.

2I bake this at 350 for about 45 min. check to see if done with a piece of spaghetti. I have never made this in a 9x13 pan, but I would decrease cooking time to around 30-35 min. Enjoy!!
