Ingredients For strong scottish cheese scones

1 1/2 cself raising flour

1 ozsalted butter

1 lgegg
-
2 Tbspwhole milk

4 ozmull of kintyre cheese or 4 ounces scottish strong cheddar cheese (or (use whatever strength you prefer)

1/3 tspsalt

1 tspmustard powder
-
1 pinchcayenne pepper
How To Make strong scottish cheese scones

1Mix the flour, salt and pepper together. Rub in the butter and then slowly mix in the grated cheese.

2Beat the egg and add in the milk; add mixture to the dry ingredients to create a soft, elastic dough.

3Roll out the mixture on a lightly floured surface. Cut into round shapes and place on a well greased tray.

4Brush the top with milk and sprinkle a little extra cheese and pepper on top.

5Bake in a pre-heated oven in the center at 400 until golden brown.
