"i am a huge fan of green beans in general, especially my garlic butter green beans.  they can be cooked any kind of way and i will eat every last one of them.  several years ago, i tried fried green beans at friday's.  they tasted so good!  they were served with a wasabi cream sauce and it made them even better.  i liked them much better than the beer battered green beans i had tried before. so, i wanted to try to recreate the breading on those beans that were so addicting. maybe it was the crunch.  oh, the crunch.  anyway, this is as close as i can get to the best fried green beans i ever had at friday's. adding flour to the panko made it adhere to the green beans better and the crunch from the panko intensified!  the chili garlic mayo is the perfect compliment.  it isn't the wasabi sauce, but the raw garlic in there is on fire!  i honestly believe my craving for friday's green beans have been fulfilled... forever!  :)..."
