1/2 yellow onion, chopped
1 cup chopped cabbage
1 teaspoon soybean oil or olive oil
1 bay leaf
1/4 teaspoon celery seeds
1/4 teaspoon white pepper
2 teaspoons chopped garlic
1 teaspoon tamari
1/2 carrot, shredded
3 - 4 baking potatoes, peeled and chopped
1/2 cup corn
1/2 cup green peas (optional)
1 cup soymilk
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1 tablespoon arrowroot
1 water to dissolve arrowroot or cornstarch
