1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple in juice (do not drain)
1 dash salt
1 1/2 cups sugar
1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/3 cup water
2 egg whites
1 1/2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
2 cups sweetened flaked coconut
