Chocolate Chip Caramel Bars | i am baker

INGREDIENTS
1 cup (2 sticks or 226g) butter, (room temperature)
1 1/2 cups (300g) brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 large eggs, (room temperature)
2 1/4 cups (282g) all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate morsels
5 ounces evaporated milk
1 package (11 ounces) caramel bits or wrapped caramels ((be sure to unwrap if using the wrapped caramels))
