Chocolate Buttermilk Cake with Chocolate Buttermilk Frosting

12 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
•
2 cups all purpose flour
•
3/4 cup cocoa
•
1 1/4 teaspoons baking soda
•
1/2 teaspoon salt
•
1 1/4 cups buttermilk
•
2 tablespoons strong black coffee, cooled
•
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
•
1 3/4 cups light brown sugar
•
2 large eggs
