1 pound smoked sausage

2 tablespoons butter or margarine

1 medium onion, chopped or about 1 cup
•
1 green pepper, chopped or about 1/2 cup
•
1 teaspoon minced garlic
•
1/2 teaspoon salt
•
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
•
few drops hot sauce, Optional
•
1 (14.5 ounce) can chicken broth
•
1 (14.5 ounce) diced tomatoes, undrained
•
1 (4 ounce) can green chilis, drained
•
2 1/2 cups uncooked rotini pasta (could use shells, macaroni, penne)
•
1 cup shredded cheese of your choice (could use more cheese. I used Mozzarella cheese)
