I received this recipe from a co-worker. She brought it for our many pot lucks that we had. It is so good!

Ingredients For earthquake cake

  • 1 box
    cake mix, swiss chocolate
  • 1 c
    pecans, in pieces
  • 1 c
    coconut
  • 3 c
    confectioners' sugar
  • 1-8 oz
    cream cheese
  • 1/2 c
    butter

How To Make earthquake cake

  • 1
    Put pecans then coconut on bottom of a 9" x 13" pan. Mix cake as directed on box then pour cake mix over the coconut.

    Mix sugar, cream cheese and butter together. Dab on top of the cake with a teaspoon, then swirl the cream cheese mixture very lightly with a knife-do not touch the bottom where the pecans and coconut are. Bake until cracks appear at 350 for about 45 minutes.
