1/2 tsp granulated sugar

1 cup buttermilk, warmed to 110 degrees

1/4 cup butter, softened
•
1 egg, at room temperature
•
1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 1/4 tsp salt
•
3/4 cup sweet potato puree (I use fresh but canned works too)
•
4 1/2 - 5 cups all-purpose flour
•
1 Tbsp butter, melted
