A Dutch baby pancake, sometimes called a German pancake, is a large American popover. Dutch baby is always baked in the oven and it contains no chemical leavening ingredients, such as baking powder.

  • 80 g
    plain flour
  • 30 g
    caster sugar
  • 30 g
    butter, divided into 2 pieces
  • 10 g
    icing sugar
  • fruits, jams, or whipped cream, for serving

How To Make dutch baby pancake

    Preheat the oven to 220°C. Prepare 2 pans suitable for baking in the oven.

    Insert whisk into mixing bowl. Place eggs, cream, flour and sugar into mixing bowl.

    Press control knob and mix 1 min/speed 4.

    Put 15 g butter in each pan and place them in the oven to let the butter melt.

    Pour the batter onto the melted butter in the pans and bake for 15 mins until golden brown.

    Remove the pan from the oven.

    Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve to taste with fruits, jams or whipped cream.
