I am always looking for a new healthy breakfast. I created this porridge from an Illinois 4-H recipe.

Ingredients For quick brown rice porridge

1 cbrown rice, cooked

1 cskimmed milk
-
1-2 tspsweetener: sugar, stevia, agave syrup, honey . . .

1-2 Tbspgolden raisins

1-2 Tbspalmonds, slivered

1/4 tsppumpkin pie spices
-
pinch cardamom (optional but really good)

1/2 tspvanilla
How To Make quick brown rice porridge

1In a small sauce pan, add rice, milk, pumpkin pie spice, cardamom, raisins, and almonds.

2Heat until boiling, turn heat to low, and cook for a couple of minutes until mixture starts to thicken.

3Remove from heat and add vanilla. Serve porridge while warm.

4Note: Double or triple as you wish.
