Ingredients For pecan french toast

4eggs
-
1/2 cpecan pieces
-
1/3 cbutter, melted, divided
-
1/2italian bread cut in 1" slices
-
1/4 tspvanilla
-
1/4 tspnutmeg
-
1/4 csugar
-
1/3 cmilk
-
2/3 corange juice
-
2 Tbsporange peel, grated
How To Make pecan french toast

1Using a whisk, beat eggs, orange juice, milk, sugar, nutmeg and vanilla.

2Place bread with edges touching, in a layer, in a large baking dish.

3Pour milk mixture over bread, cover and refrigerate overnight.

4Turn once.

5Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

6Pour melted butter on a jelly roll pan, or large cookie sheet with sides.

7Arrange soaked slices in a single layer on pan.

8Sprinkle with orange peel and pecans.

9Bake 20 minutes.

10Check slices during last 10 minutes.
