Using a recipe from one of my many cookbooks, I baked something this morning that I enjoy for breakfast. Today I will make something that is a favorite with my husband, he prefers basic things like: meatloaf, beef or chicken potpie, stew, roast turkey, or a frozen meal from one of those "named brand" producers. I love casseroles, soups, salads, and comfort foods with rice, pasta, or mixed steamed or roasted vegetables. This recipe will have a picture added whenever I try a new recipe.

6 Tbspbutter, room temperature

1/2 csugar

1/2 tspvanilla extract

1/2 cmilk
- DRY INGREDIENTS:

2 ca/p flour

1 tspbaking powder
-
1/4 tspbaking soda

1/4 tspsalt

1/4 tspcinnamon
- STREUSEL

a pinchsalt
-
1/4 tspcinnamon

a pinchfreshly grated nutmeg

1 or 2 Tbspbutter, cut up into bits

1/3 ca/p flour

1 or 2 Tbsplight brown sugar
How To Make pumpkin apple muffins-bakin time

1Preheat oven to 350 degrees, grease muffin pan (12 muffins). Combine dry ingredients. Cream butter with sugar and add egg, vanilla and mix with dry ingredients; add fruit and stir until all are mixed.

2Bake and cool briefly, enjoy with hot coffee!
