A lot of times it was just easier and cheaper to make the pancakes myself. This one is another, old, old favorite.

Ingredients For my favorite pancakes

1 1/4 csifted all-purpose flour

3 tspbaking powder

1 Tbspsugar

1/2 tspsalt

1beaten egg

1 cmilk

2 Tbspsalad oil
How To Make my favorite pancakes

1Sift together dry ingredients.

2Combine egg,milk and salad oil, add to dry ingredients, stirring just till moistened.

3Bake on hot griddle. Makes about 12 dollar-size, or eight 4-inch pancakes. *Note for thinner pancakes, add 2 tablespoons milk to batter*

4For blueberry pancakes: when undersides of pancakes are nicely browned, sprinkle about 2 tablespoons drained blueberries on each cake. Turn, brown other side.

5For buttermilk pancakes: Substitute buttermilk or sour milk for sweet milk, add 1/2 teaspoon soda and reduce baking powder to 2 teaspoons. Bake on hot griddle.
