Ingredients For miniature french breakfast puffs

1/3 csoft shortening/butter mix

1 tspcinnamon

1/2 cmilk
-
1/2 tspsalt

1egg
-
1/2 csugar
-
1/4 tspnutmeg
-
1/2 tspbaking powder
-
1/2 csugar

1/3 cbutter, melted
-
1/2 csifted flour
How To Make miniature french breakfast puffs

1Heat oven to 350.

2Grease bottoms of 48 small muffin cups.

3Mix shortening, 1/2 cup sugar and egg thoroughly.

4Sift together flour, baking powder, salt and nutmeg.

5Stir flour mixture and milk alternately into sugar/shortening mixture.

6Fill greased muffin cups 2/3 full.

7Bake 15 minutes or until golden brown.

8Dip immediately in melted butter, then in mixture of cinnamon/sugar.

9Serve hot.

10Makes 3-1/2 to 4 dozen.
