mama's cinnamon rolls
These are simple cinnamon rolls. They are NOT sticky buns. You can make a simple glaze of powdered sugar mixed with a tiny bit of milk. They freeze well after baked. I warm them from frozen in the microwave for about 30 seconds. Some of these photos were taken in my kitchen and some were taken at Mama's last summer when she made them for me.

How To Make mama's cinnamon rolls
-
1Make the white bread recipe up to the point of the first rise.
-
2After the first rise, punch down the dough.
-
3Split the dough in half. Roll out into a rectangle.
-
4Spread with most of a stick of butter.
-
5Then sprinkle about a half cup of brown sugar and 1 Tablespoon of cinnamon.
-
6Roll up into a long log. Cut into about 12 pieces. Place in a well greased 9x13 pan. (Or line the pan with parchment paper).
-
7Repeat with the second piece of dough. OR you can form this piece into a loaf and make a loaf of white bread AND a tray of cinnamon rolls.
-
8Let rise about an hour, or until doubled in size. Bake at 375 for 30-40 minutes.
