Soft, cheesy biscuits topped with Southern style creamy gravy for only 3 net carbs for 1 biscuit and 1/6th of the gravy, not bad at all!

Ingredients For low carb biscuts & gravy

  • BISCUITS
  • 1/4 c
    melted butter
  • 4 lg
    eggs
  • 1/3 c
    coconut flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 c
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • SAUSAGE GRAVY
  • 1 lb
    bulk breakfast sausage
  • 1 c
    chicken broth
  • 3/4 c
    heavy cream
  • 1/2 tsp
    xanthan gum
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper

How To Make low carb biscuts & gravy

    Preheat oven to 400. Liine a baking pan with parchment, silicone baking mat, or spray lightly with cooking spray. Set aside.

    To make biscuits, combine all ingredients in a large bowl and stir to combine. Don't overwork dough. Scoop 3 T. dough onto prepared pan with an ice cream scoop or large spoon. Makes 9 biscuits.

    Bake biscuits in oven for 15 minutes, or just until golden brown on top, while making gravy.

    To make sausage gravy, in a large skillet, brown and crumble the sausage over medium-high heat until cooked through. Add the chicken broth, cream, xanthan gum and stir. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Continue to cook until gravy is thick. Season with salt and pepper. Remove from heat. Serve over split biscuits. 1 biscuit and 1/6th of gravy is 3 net carbs each.
