1/2 lbbread, stale

1 Tbspbutter, melted

1Preheat oven to 350°F, then break the stale bread into pieces suitable for dipping in coffee.

2Place the bread chunks onto a baking tray lined with nonstick baking parchment.

3Optionally mix melted butter with sugar and cinnamon, and brush the bread chunks with the mixture.

4Toast bread chunks in the oven until light brown and crisp (depending on your liking - as you will soften them by dipping, every stage of crispness before burning is okay).

5Let toasted bread chunks cool and either store them in a cookie container or use them immediately for dipping in hot coffee.
