Following a keto lifestyle, I got hungry one evening and wanted something filling, and this is what I came up with. 2 french toasts with thick bacon and cheese, dipped in sf syrup, either maple or blueberry, for that sweet & salty flavor we all know and love.

Ingredients For keto monte cristo breakfast sandwich

  • 2 slice
    0 carb bread (i use aldi wheat)
  • 2
    eggs
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter
  • 3 slice
    thick sliced bacon, precooked
  • 1 slice
    cheese (i used colby jack)
  • 2 Tbsp
    sugar-free maple syrup or blueberry

How To Make keto monte cristo breakfast sandwich

    Heat nonstick skillet to medium heat. Place butter in skillet and allow to melt.

    Beat eggs in a shallow dish and coat both sides of first slice of bread; Place in melted butter and brown on both sides; remove to plate and repeat with other slice of bread, leaving this piece in the skillet. Now you have 2 pieces of french toast.

    Top french toast in skillet with cheese slice and bacon slices. Top with other slice of french toast; Turn over to melt cheese and heat bacon. Remove to plate and serve with sf syrup
