This recipe came from my sister-in-law, but I added the cinnamon. If possible, always make this in a cast iron frying pan. The bottom gets a nice crust and it looks absolutely beautiful when you take it from the oven. Happy Cooking!!!!!

Ingredients For japanese pancake

  • 1/2 c
    whole milk
  • 1/2 c
    water
  • 3/4 c
    flour
  • 1/2 stick
    butter
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon (optional)

    eggs

How To Make japanese pancake

  • 1
    melt butter in a 10 inch cast iron frying pan. You can do this in the oven.
  • 2
    mix the rest of the ingredients and add to butter in pan. do not stir
  • 3
    cook in the oven at 400 degrees for 25 minutes.

    Then serve with maple syrup or confectioner's sugar on top.
