Ingredients For homemade granola bars

2 cold fashioned oats

1 ccoconut, shredded, sweetened

1 cpecan pieces

2/3 choney
-
4 Tbspbutter
-
1 dashcinnamon
-
1/4 cbrown sugar
-
2 tspvanilla
-
1/2 craisins
-
1/2 cwheat germ, toasted

1/2 cchopped apricots, dried

1/2 ccranberries, dried

1/4 tspsalt
How To Make homemade granola bars

1Preheat oven to 350 and butter well an 8 1/2 x 11 pan with parchment paper on the bottom. (Do not use wax paper)

2Combine oats, coconut and nuts on a cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 12 minutes, stirring 2-3 times. Turn oven to 300, remove from heat, put in bowl and stir in wheat germ.

3In a saucepan, combine honey, butter, cinnamon, brown sugar, vanilla and salt. Boil for 4 minutes.

4Pour sauce over oat mixture and add dried fruit. Stir together well. Press granola well into pan with buttered fingers and press down.

5Bake at 300 for 30 minutes. Let cool for 2 hours before cutting. Loosen edges with knife, turn out onto cutting board. Enjoy!
