This was the "go-to" breakfast when all of my cousins would come to visit Grandma. My sister and I loved to have the cousins come to visit because we got to enjoy the waffles that Grandma would be making!! She would make extras, freeze them and we would enjoy them later!!

Ingredients For grandma's homemade waffles

1 3/4 cflour

2 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspsalt

3 tspsugar

3egg yolks, beaten

1/3 cvegetable oil

1 1/2 cmilk (not skim)

3egg whites, beaten stiff
How To Make grandma's homemade waffles

1Preheat Waffle Iron

2Measure dry ingredients into mixing bowl. Blend

3Combine egg yolks and milk. Stir into dry ingredients. Stir in cooking oil.

4Carefully fold in egg whites. Do not overmix. Pour approximately 2/3 cup batter onto preheated griddle. Close and bake to desired darkness.
