This was my favorite recipe for cinnamon rolls, until I had the cinnamon rolls my brother's girlfriend, Sherry, made (yes, they are in my recipes as well). Hers includes cake mix, which makes freezing her cinnamon rolls easy, and also delicious! But make them both, and you decide...

4 cflour

1 pkgactive dry yeast

1 1/4 cmilk

1/4 csugar

1/4 cbutter
-
1 tspsalt

1egg
- CINNAMON FILLING:

1/4 csugar

2 Tbspdark brown sugar

1 Tbspcinnamon

5 Tbspmelted butter
How To Make giant cinnamon rolls (my old recipe)

1Mix 1 1/2 c flour and yeast in bowl. Heat milk, sugar, butter and salt in pan until warm. Stir constantly until butter melts. Add to yeast mix, add egg. Beat on low 30 sec, then high 3 min. By hand, stir in enough flour to make a soft dough. Knead until smooth and elastic. Form ball. Grease surface of dough, cover in greased bowl and let rise double. Put on floured surface to rest 10 min. mix cinnamon and sugars. Brush 9" round cake pan with 1 T melted butter. Roll dough on floured surface to 12"x20" rectangle. Brush with melted butter, sprinkle with cinnamon. Roll starting at 12" end. Cut at 2" with thread. Place in pan, drizzle with remaining butter, let rise 20 min. Bake at 375 degrees 25-30 min. Let cool in pan 10 min, unmold. Drizzle with glaze if desired.
