This is our families favorite way to have oatmeal. We use Coaches Oats usually or just old fashioned. Its so good, it's almost a dessert.

Ingredients For french oatmeal

2 1/4 cwater
-
1grated, peeled apple

1/2 tsplemon juice
-
2/3 ccoaches oats or old fashioned rolled oats.

3 Tbspmaple syrup (we use grade b)

somecream or milk as desired
How To Make french oatmeal

1peel, core and grate any kind of apple. Add to water.

2Bring water to a boil. Add lemon juice and oats. Stirring occasionaly, turn down heat and let slow boil for about 5 minutes.

3Turn off heat and add syrup and cream or milk. As an option I sometimes add either raisins at the end, or Craisins or toasted pecans. Holy-Moly it makes good even better!
