Years ago my husbands Aunt gave me her White House Cookbook that she got when she was married in 1910. In the book recipes were marked with bits of paper, newspaper articles, and an envelope. The envelope was postmarked Feb 10, 1919 and it has a donut recipe on it. Oh, the stamp is a 3¢! I will copy the recipe as it is shown on the envelope.
