This scones are so moist and tender. Most scones I have tried are dry, you will really enjoy these and they are so easy to make.

How To Make cranberry orange scones

  • 1
Sift together flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
  • 2
Add grated orange peel and butter to sifted flour. Cut butter into the flour with two forks until well blended. Set aside.
  • 3
In small bowl, combine cranberries, orange juice, half and half, and the slightly beaten egg. Stir until blended.
  • 4
Add to dry ingredients, stir until soft dough forms. Do not over mix or it will toughen the scones.
  • 5
On lightly floured surface, gently knead dough 6 to 8 times. Form dough into 1" thick circle or rectangle shape. Cut into 8 pieces.
  • 6
Line cookie sheet with parchment paper. Brush tops of scones with either milk or half and half.
  • 7
Bake for 15 min only at 400 degree oven. As soon as you remove from oven, drizzle orange glaze over each scone.
