This is Aunt Mary's recipe. Other people call this Monkey Bread. It has been in our family as long as I have been alive.

Ingredients For cinnamon nut ring

  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 6 Tbsp
    light brown sugar
  • 1 1/4 c
    sifted powdered sugar (divided)
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/2 c
    finely chopped sweet pecans
  • 3 pkg
    canned buttermilk biscuits (i always use grands and it takes you have to make them fit)

How To Make cinnamon nut ring

    Melt butter in skillet

    Mix 3/4C powdered sugar and cinnamon in small mixing bowl.

    Drop each biscuit in butter and coat with sugar mixture.

    Place in well greased 10" tube pan. Overlapping the edges of the biscuits. Sprinkle Pecans over the top. Bake for 40-45 minutes until done.

    Place on place. Mix 1/2 cup of powdered sugar and a few teaspoons water to make glaze. Drizzle overtop.
