How To Make breakfast pizza
-
1Preheat oven to 350.
-
2Gather your ingredients and use a10x16 cookie sheet; spray cookie sheet with cooking spray.
-
3Cover the bottom of the pan with Crescent rolls. You will have leftovers from the second can. Spread them out to cover the space and pinch the seams together so there are no open spaces.
-
4Saute the sausage crumbling while it cooks (I like to use my food chopper/mini processor to crumble the sausage after cooking) until cooked through. Drain. I like to do this part the night before, cutting down on the prep time in the morning. Also, we like spicy sausage but you can choose what suits your taste.
-
5Distribute the sausage over the Crescent rolls.
-
6Heat a skillet with a little oil and wait til it is heated. The oil should shimmer (I usually put a few pieces in while the skillet is heating. When they start to sizzle I add the rest). Add the O'Brien Hash Browns, as well as salt and pepper to taste and saute for 5 minutes. No need for them to be cooked through, just thawed.
-
7Whisk the milk and eggs together and pour over the top of the hash browns, reaching all the nooks and crannies as well as possible.
-
8Bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
-
9Sprinkle with cheese immediately. Either allow it to sit until the cheese melts or place back in oven and allow cheese to melt in the oven for a few minutes.
-
10YUMMO!! Allow to cool slightly. Slice with a pizza wheel into rectangular pieces. Depending upon your cuts you may get 12 - 16 pieces.
