Ingredients For blueberry compote

1 cfrozen blueberries, thawed

1 cwater, warm

1/2 cwhite sugar

1/2 cbrown sugar

1 dashvanilla

1 dashnutmeg

1 tsplemon zest, grated

1 Tbspcornstarch

1 Tbspcold water

1 tsplemon juice
How To Make blueberry compote

1Make slurry by wisking cornstarch in cold water until completely dissolved. Set aside.

2Continuously wisk all the ingredients together -- except lemon juice -- in a small sauce pan over low heat until sugar is dissolved.

3Increase heat to medium and bring to a gentle boil, stirring often, until syrup is thickened, about 15 minutes.

4Right before mixture boils, wisk in the slurry and continue wisking until well combined and syrup begins to thicken.

5Once thickened, wisk in lemon juice. Serve immediately or cool.
