Ingredients For belgian waffles

1 1/2 cflour

2 Tbspsugar

2 tspbaking powder

1/2 tspbaking soda

1/4 tspsalt

3egg yolks, beaten (reserve whites)

3/4 csour cream

3/4 cbuttermilk
-
1/4 cshortening, melted and cooled

1/4 cbutter or margarine, melted and cooled
-
3egg whites, stiffly beaten
How To Make belgian waffles

1Whisk dry ingredients together. Combine egg yolks, sour cream and buttermilk, and add to dry ingredients alternately with cooled shortening and butter.

2Stir gently until no longer lumpy. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Cook in waffle iron.
