We love asparagus so I came up with this recipe for quiche. We love it for a chilly night meal or Sunday brunch.

Ingredients For asparagus quiche

1 lb. fresh asparagus or 10 oz. frozen

9 inch prepared pie shell
-
1 tspsalt
-
1egg white
-
2 cswiss cheese, shredded
-
10bacon strips, fried and crumbled
-
4eggs
-
1 1/2 clight cream
-
1/4 tspnutmeg
-
1/4 tspsalt
-
1 pinchpepper
-
tomato for garnish
How To Make asparagus quiche

1Clean and cut asparagus into 1/2 inch pieces. Cook with the one tsp. of salt and drain.

2Brush the bottom of your pie shell with egg white.

3Mix together the asparagus, cheese and bacon. Place in your pie crust.

4Beat together the eggs, cream, nutmeg, 1/4 tsp. of salt and the pepper. Pour into the crust over the asparagus and bacon. Bake at 400 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until the center is set.

5Slice tomatoes and place them on top for garnish before serving.
