    recipe basic sweet yeast dough
  • 4 md
    cooking apples, peeled and sliced
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1/4 c
    melted butter

How To Make apple kuchen coffee cake, mom's

  • 1
    Divide dough in half, press into 2 buttered 8" square pans. Press apple slices into dough, rounded edges up. Combine cinnamon and sugar and sprinkle over apples. Drizzle 2 T butter over the top of each coffee cake. Allow to stand in warm place until doubled in size. Bake at 350 degrees 40-45 min or until apples are tender and top well browned. Remove from pan onto wire rack to cool.
