I Love Doughnuts! I was looking for a healthier version. Found the Wilton Doughnut Pan. Searched for recipes and loving apple cider, adjusted another recipe and made this my own version. Baked are just as Yummy!!

Ingredients For apple cider doughnuts

  • 2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1/2 c
    apple cider
  • 1/4 c
    sour cream, fat-free
  • 1/3 c
    brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1 lg
    egg
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, melted
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • PUT THE FOLLOWING IN A SMALL BOWL AND DIP FRESHLY BAKED DOUGHNUTS
  • 1/4 c
    granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon

How To Make apple cider doughnuts

    In medium size bowl, whisk apple cider, sour cream, egg, brown sugar, butter, and vanilla.

    In another bowl,.Whisk flour, cinnamon and Baking soda.

    Add flour mixture to apple cider mixture.

    Whisk until smooth.

    Spray Doughnut pan with non stick cooking spray, I used Pam Baking w/flour.

    Spoon batter carefully in prepared pan. Fill 2/3 full.

    Bake at 350º for 5 - 10 Minutes.

    Take doughnuts out of the pan when done. Turn doughnuts upside down in cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.
