"I'll make the biscuits," my friend said, with a sly look in her eye. Next thing I knew she was sitting there with a tray of biscuits waiting on the oven to preheat all the way. No fuss, no muss. These are fluffy and tender. I haven't made biscuits any other way since that day!

Ingredients For 3 ingredient cream biscuits

  • 2 c
    flour
  • 3 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 1/2 c
    heavy whipping cream

How To Make 3 ingredient cream biscuits

  • 1
Line a baking sheet with parchment and preheat oven to 500 degrees. (Be sure your oven has preheated to 500, mine takes about 30 minutes to get there.)
  • 2
In a large bowl, whisk flour and baking powder together until thoroughly mixed. (If you keep self-rising flour, this becomes a 2-ingredient recipe! Just omit the baking powder. Make sure your self-rising flour is not past date.)
  • 3
Gradually stir in cream to make a sticky dough.
  • 4
Pour dough out onto a lightly floured surface and gently pat and roll into 1/2-inch thickness. Dust with flour and fold over..
  • 5
Gently roll again to 1/2-inch thickness, approximately 7" square.
  • 6
Cut straight down with a 2" or 3" biscuit cutter, rerolling the dough as needed.
  • 7
Place on baking sheet and bake for 10-12 minutes, till golden on top.
