Nothing compares to home made sausage. I made a double batch, browned and what wasn't eaten gets froze for later use. It's nice to have these ready to go when you need them. Oh, and by all means....make these as spicy as you want, or not at all... Enjoy!

Ingredients For sausage

  • 1 lb
    ground pork
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1 tsp
    black pepper, i like to use fresh ground
  • 1 tsp
    fresh sage, finely chopped or dried
  • 1 tsp
    fresh thyme, finely chopped or dried
  • 1/4 tsp
    fresh rosemary finely chopped or dried
  • 1/2 Tbsp
    brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp
    cayenne pepper, more if you wish
  • 1/4 tsp
    red pepper flakes, more if you wish

How To Make sausage

    In a bowl, mix all ingredients well. Shape patties. I make mine about 3 inches around each. Place the patties in a skillet with small amount of oil. On medium heat, brown on each side. About 6 minutes per side, depending on how brown you like them. Enjoy!
