Ingredients For sausage and gravy

  • 1 lb
    tennessee pride country hot sausage
  • 1 lb
    tennessee pride pork sausage
  • 2 c
    half and half
  • 1/2 stick
    butter
  • 1/2 c
    wondra quick mixing flour
  • 1/2 tsp
    beef base
  • 2 Tbsp
    chopped shallots
  • 1/4 tsp
    chopped garlic
  • 1/4 tsp
    sage
  • 1 tsp
    parsley flakes
  • fresh ground pepper

How To Make sausage and gravy

    In a large skillet,brown sausage, shallots garlic, parsley flakes, sage papper. and set aside

    In another skillet, melt the butter and slowly add the wondra quick mixing flour until a thick roux is formed. becareful not to burn. slowly add in the milk and beef base untill a athick gray is formed.

    Add sausage and spice mixture and blend well. add salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot over buttermilk biscuits.
