I'm a little picky about my breakfast sausage. I don't like it too spicy or with any unrecognizable flavors so I decided to start seasoning my own!

Ingredients For diy breakfast sausage

  • 1 lb
    unseasoned ground sausage
  • 1 tsp
    dried sage
  • 1 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp
    ground thyme
  • 1 pinch
    red pepper flakes (optional)

How To Make diy breakfast sausage

    In a smallish mixing bowl, combine the sage, salt, pepper, thyme, and crushed red pepper.

    Mix very throughly.

    Form into patties and pan fry for about five minutes on each side or cook and crumble for other dishes such as sausage gravy.
