Chocolate Gravy is an old recipe. Here it is used to enhance strawberry waffles. You can use this gravy for dipping strawberries and other fruit or as a for topping ice cream.

Ingredients For waffles with strawberries and chocolate gravy

  • 6
    waffles, frozen or homemade
  • 1 qt
    fresh strawberries
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • cool whip
  • CHOCOLATE GRAVY:
  • 3 Tbsp
    flour
  • 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter
  • 1
    heaping tablespoon of cocoa
  • 1 1/2 c
    milk

How To Make waffles with strawberries and chocolate gravy

    Heat waffles and set aside. Clean strawberries and cut in halves. Stir in ½ cup sugar. Set aside. In saucepan mix flour, coca and sugar. Add milk and cook until thick. Stir in butter.

    To serve place waffle on plate. Spoon strawberries over waffle. Drizzle with chocolate gravy and top with whipped cream.
